ABOUT THE ROLE
As Assistant Accounting Manager, you'll lead high-value financial management for a portfolio of special district clients, from metro districts, to water and sanitation districts, fire and recreation and more. You'll mentor a team, present directly to boards, and be the financial linchpin for community-impacting entities. You won't just manage financials, you'll drive outcomes.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Lead the Numbers Maintain general ledgers and produce financial statements Manage payroll, AP/AR, and compliance for assigned clients Support budget preparation, forecasting, and audit coordination Be a Client Partner Present reports and guide financial conversations Provide financial support for clients in all stages of development Step into Acting Accounting Manager role as needed Be a Client Partner Present reports and guide financial conversations Provide financial support for clients in all stages of development Step into Acting Accounting Manager role as needed Develop People & Processes Mentor junior staff and support quality assurance Identify and implement workflow improvements to boost efficiency Ensure quality control of deliverables across a broad client portfolio
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Must-Have Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance 3+ years experience in government or nonprofit accounting Strong Excel and fund accounting knowledge Clear communicator and collaborator
Preferred:
Title 32 special district knowledge Governmental accounting experience Progress toward CPA a plus Real estate industry experience a plus Why work at Pinnacle Consulting Group, Inc.?
