ASSISTANT ATHLETIC DIRECTOR

Position Title:

Assistant

ATHLETIC DIRECTOR - CERTIFIED/CLASSIFIED

Responsible To:

Superintendent/Director/Designee Basic Function Assist Athletic Director and supervise all athletics at the secondary level to assure these programs function under the guidelines of the KHSAA and that policies/procedures are strictly followed.

Performance Responsibilities:

Assist director with organizing and administering the overall program of interscholastic/intramural athletics for the high school pursuant to Board and KHSAA policies Serves as liaison to the feeder middle school athletic program. Works with the director and principal on recommending to the Superintendent the employment and assignment of athletic coaches. Fosters good school/community relations by keeping the community aware of and responsive to the athletic program. Assumes responsibility for the organization and scheduling of all athletic events. Coordinates the securing of game officials. Coordinates, with coaches, transportation for athletic participants.
