As the Assistant Beverage Manager, you will play a key leadership role in overseeing the daily operations of the hotel's bars, lounges, pool venues, and banquet beverage service. Working alongside the Director of Beverage, you'll help lead a dynamic team focused on delivering exceptional guest experiences while maintaining operational excellence, profitability, and compliance with Alabama Beverage Rules and Responsible Vendor requirements. This role is ideal for a motivated hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys leading teams, and has a passion for elevated beverage service and guest engagement.
Beverage Operations & Leadership:
Assist in overseeing daily operations of bars, lounges, pool outlets, and banquet beverage service while supporting hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, and team development.Guest Service & Events:
Deliver exceptional guest experiences by resolving concerns, promoting resort offerings, leading pre-shift communication, and coordinating special events and outlet promotions.Compliance & Financial Oversight:
Ensure compliance with Alabama Beverage regulations and Responsible Vendor requirements while assisting with inventory management, cost control, payroll oversight, and profitability initiatives.Operational Excellence & Collaboration:
Maintain beverage quality and service standards, support equipment and outlet readiness, and collaborate with departments across the resort to ensure seamless operations and memorable guest experiences.Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
- 1-2 years of previous Food & Beverage leadership or supervisory experience required.
- Strong knowledge of beverage operations, guest service standards, and supervisory techniques.
- Excellent communication, leadership, organization, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Alabama Beverage Rules and Responsible Vendor requirements preferred.
- Frequent standing and walking throughout shifts in indoor and outdoor restaurant, lounge, banquet, and pool environments.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Occasional climbing and movement throughout multiple outlet locations.
- Must be comfortable working evenings, weekends, holidays, and outdoor events as business demands require.
