Job Description

Position Objective The Assistant Branch Operations Manager supports the Branch Operations Manager in the daily management of branch operations, staff supervision, and member service delivery. This role ensures operational efficiency, compliance, and member service excellence while acting as a leader in the manager's absence. Responsibilities 1. Represents the credit union in a courteous and professional manner in all member interactions. 2. Manages the day-to-day branch operations by assigning work, problem solving, serve as a resource to answer questions, and explain policies and procedures. 3. Effectively leads and develops branch team to increase efficiencies, enhance productivity, achieve goals, and prepare for advancement opportunities. 4. Supports opening and closing procedures and cash controls. 5. Monitor teller line efficiency and member service standards with the Member Service Manager. 6. Assist with training, coaching, and onboarding of employees. 7. Schedules branch staff to ensure adequate staffing levels for operations and member service. 8. Ensures branch cash, including ATM, remains at an adequate supply to service members and within prescribed limits; orders and/or ships currency when necessary. 9. Assist with audits and compliance reviews. 10. Maintains records of night deposit transactions, mail transactions, member share draft ordering, returned mail and member name/address changes in accordance with record retention policy. 11. Processes loan applications for walk in members as needed. 12. Reorders negotiable instruments, stationery, and other supplies; when necessary. 13. Authorizes service fee refunds; when necessary. 14. Manage all personnel issues in conjunction with the Branch Operations Manager. 15. Opens new accounts as needed for walk in members, and verify new accounts opened by MSMs, ensuring all information is accurate and complete. 16. Provide direct support to members with complex transactions or issues. Step in to resolve escalated concerns when needed. Ensure a positive and consistent member experience. 17. Ensures branch robbery procedures are current, Member Service security system is operable, and employees are properly trained in how to respond in the event of robbery. 18. Remains current on IRA products, limits, and regulations; attends seminars when required. 19. Assist the Branch Operations Manager with performance evaluations and disciplinary discussions, as needed. 20. Assist the Member Service Manager with balancing issues, research cash and check differences as necessary. 21. Support community outreach and business development efforts in the branches. 22. Provides accurate information to members regarding account information, Hershey FCU products and services, alternative investments, and credit union policy. 23. Actively seeks solutions to member concerns in a professional and diplomatic manner and escalates accordingly. 24. Effectively communicates all relevant branch issues and updates with Branch Operations Manager. 25. Maintains a comprehensive and current knowledge of all Hershey FCU products and services. 26. Perform all teller and MSR duties as necessary. 27. Maintains a comprehensive knowledge of all related policies, procedures, rules, and regulations applicable for the position, and keeps abreast of any changes. 28. Prevents controllable losses by strict adherence to security, compliance, and fraud & prevention policies and procedures. 29. Adheres to all policies and procedures described in the Employee Handbook. 30. Completes annual mandatory compliance and other training. 31. Travel to other locations as needed. 32. Assists with all other duties as required.
Pay:
$25.00 - $28.00 per hour
