ASSISTANT
BUSINESS MANAGER
The California Area School District is currently accepting applications for the position of Assistant Business Manager for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a 6-9 month appointment, with the opportunity for promotion to Business Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional looking to grow within a dynamic educational environment and take on increasing leadership responsibilities. Responsibilities of Business Manager/Assistant Business Manager include: Building and managing the budget Accuracy of the general ledger Day-to-day accounting, prepare month-end journal entries, bank reconciliations, and monthly reports Submit all financial reporting to PDE Supervise the accounts payable/payroll position Ensure successful submission of annual IRS W-2 and 1099 form filings, quarterly IRS Form 941 filings and other required quarterly and annual submissions Prepare and enter journal entries to prepare for fiscal year-end audit Oversee and manage employee fringe benefits Submit annual transportation report to PDE Submit quarterly and annual ACCESS reporting Submit monthly cafeteria claims and other required reporting throughout the year Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or related field is preferred.
