Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify and recruit prospective student athletes as future football players. Contact high school / community college coaches, parents, and players themselves to establish and maintain relationships. Responsible for direct communication with recruits, ie. On campus visits, emails, and phone calls to create strong rapport with prospective Student-Athlete. Host all day, on campus visits with student athlete and family; be able to extend scholarship offers through Head Coach, Assist and inform prospective Student-Athlete of next steps to begin mentoring process. Responsible for academic progress for position and any off-field position issues that may arrive. Responsible for helping plan, implement and conduct daily football practice regimens. Ability to evaluate performance, attitude and teach strategic concepts. Be proficient in Hudl and all technology related to football. Along with External Relations staff, the Assistant Coach will be expected to facilitate and be involved with supporters, boosters, and alumni to establish and maintain positive moral and excitement high surrounding the program. Identify and contact any of the individuals to help with the program. Exhibit the highest professional standards and ethical behavior with regard to adherence toNCAA, MIAA
Conference, Institute, and Department of Athletics rules, policies and expectations including commitment to lifelong learning, sportsmanship on and off the field of play, positive leadership and the desire and ability to act as a positive role model and representative of the Institute at all times. As a condition of employment, the employee shall be required to participate in rules education programs offered by the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics.QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of related experience in lieu of degreePreferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree or 6 years of related experience in lieu of degreeCOMPENSATION
