Assistant Corporate Controller

Job DescriptionJob Description United Building Company is looking for a talented Assistant Corporate Controller / Controller depending on experience level. Our Growing Construction Company is looking for someone to help run the accounting department. This person must have 10 years of accounting experience, and at least 7 years in the construction industry. You will support our CFO and accounting team.

Requirements:

10 years of accounting experience 7 years of experience in construction accounting 5 years in a lead accounting role (preferably as an Assistant Controller or higher)

Job Requirements and Responsibilities:

Proficient in Quickbooks for Construction (Preferred) Proficient in Paychex's payroll system (Preferred) Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Responsible for overseeing the accounting operations, establishing policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with GAAP Collaborate with Finance team to develop accurate and insightful forecasting and budgeting. Prepare monthly financial reports and forecasting reports Help with financial statement reviews and assist with audits as well as tax return filings Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements. Manage date to day accounting. Manage insurance requirements (renewals and other ad hoc requirements) Help integrate technology Knowledge in Textura Strategic Planning to contribute to the development of the companies long-term financial goals ERP System Proficiency Ability to establish priorities, work on multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
