Andy's Produce Market is hiring a well-seasoned Assistant Deli Supervisor to join our team and bring home the bacon.

WORKING FOR ANDY'S PRODUCE MARKET

As the Assistant Deli Supervisor, you'll be responsible for: Working closely with the Deli Supervisor to support their objectives as they plan, assign, and direct the work of the department Creating a motivational environment that keeps daily operations on track Supporting the Deli Supervisor in maintaining timely ordering and inventory so we never run out of the good stuff (or accidently order 50 pounds of bologna) Being knowledgeable about the pricing and profitability set by the Deli Supervisor- you should be able to crunch numbers like it's a bowl of granola Maintaining our high standards of quality, cleanliness, and customer service - our food is not salted with the tears of our customers Overseeing cooking and food prep to make sure all prepared foods are deli-lightful Utilizing a variety of culinary equipment to cook and prepare approved menu items (and maybe dream up some of your own) and ensure all equipment is working properly Ensuring the deli cases are well stocked and looking their best. Freshness is more than an attitude

WHAT YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE

This position is prefect for someone who: Possesses an ANSI accredited Food Manager Certificate (or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire) Has the ability to work a full 40 hours per week in a variable retail schedule - the store is open 7 days a week from 8am to 8pm Has a strong work ethic and is dependable and trustworthy Is self-motivated with a professional demeanor and has a mind for details and numbers as much as culinary creativity Has strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and all levels of staff The physical strength and endurance to perform work in a retail and grocery setting, including occasionally lifting and carrying items up to 60 pounds, working in cool temperatures between 45°-65°, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness in a safe manner The most qualified candidates will have previous experience in the grocery industry and experience in a commercial kitchen.
