WORKING FOR ANDY'S PRODUCE MARKET

The BBQ Lead is responsible for supporting the objectives of the Deli Supervisor by maintaining the day-to-day operations of the BBQ by preparing approved menu items consistently and timely. The BBQ Lead will contribute to the success of the BBQ by: Setting up the BBQ station to approved safety and outdoor cooking protocols Maintaining the cleanliness of the BBQ and the surrounding cook area Proactively anticipating inventory needs and communicating them to the Deli Manager Working cooperatively with assigned supportive Deli Clerks who will take orders, prepare orders, and complete payment transactions Returning the BBQ equipment to storage while maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of all provided equipment

WHAT YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE

The ideal BBQ Lead will have: Experience preparing a variety of barbequed meats The availability to work a 4/10 schedule Friday - Monday from 8:30am - 7:00pm Self-motivation and show the initiative to be proactive about making decisions with good judgement Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and all levels of staff both verbally and in writing The desire to have fun working outside (in the shade!) interacting with our valued customers while making delicious food The physical strength and endurance to perform work in a retail and grocery setting, including occasionally lifting and carrying items up to 50 pounds, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness in a safe manner
