Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Assistant Dental Office Manager, where your leadership and organizational skills will drive the success of our dental practice. In this vital role, you will support the daily operations of the clinic, oversee administrative functions, and ensure a smooth patient experience. Your expertise in medical office management, fiscal oversight, and team supervision will help foster an efficient, compliant, and patient-centered environment. Duties Assist in managing daily clinic operations, including scheduling, patient flow, and staff coordination to maximize efficiency. Oversee billing processes, insurance claims, and financial transactions using systems like Open Dental, Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or eClinicalWorks to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Support fiscal management activities such as budgeting, expense tracking, and financial reporting to maintain practice profitability. Supervise administrative staff and dental team members, providing guidance on human resources practices and performance management. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by managing medical records, ensuring confidentiality, and overseeing documentation standards in EMR (Electronic Medical Record) and EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems. Assist with inventory control of dental supplies and equipment to optimize clinic resources. Coordinate with clinical staff on medical management protocols, including nursing procedures and acute care requirements when applicable. Skills Proven experience in medical office management or dental office administration with a strong understanding of healthcare operations. Expertise in managing financial aspects such as budgeting, billing, managed care contracts, and financial management tools. Proficiency with dental practice management software like Eaglesoft or Dentrix; familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks is highly desirable. Strong supervisory skills with experience overseeing office staff and clinical personnel in a healthcare setting. Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, HIPAA compliance, and healthcare regulations including JCAHO standards. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a busy clinic environment. Background in healthcare management or clinic experience that demonstrates leadership in a dental or medical practice setting.
