About Greenbrier Learning Academy Greenbrier Learning Academy is a licensed early childhood center serving families in Catoosa and surrounding communities. We are committed to providing a safe, structured, and high-quality learning environment while building a strong team culture. We are growing and strengthening our leadership team. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone ready to step up and help run a center with high standards and clear accountability. Position Overview The Assistant Director supports the Center Director in overseeing daily operations, staffing coordination, enrollment growth, and licensing compliance. This role ensures the building runs smoothly every single day — ratios are met, classrooms are supported, parents are communicated with, and staff are held accountable. When designated, the Assistant Director may serve as Acting Director in the Director's absence (if qualified per Oklahoma DHS requirements). What You Will Be Responsible For Daily Operations & Ratios Monitor and maintain proper staff-to-child ratios at all times Adjust staffing assignments based on attendance Provide classroom coverage when needed Maintain safe supervision practices throughout the center Staff Leadership & Scheduling Create and manage weekly staff schedules Track time-off requests and attendance Support onboarding and staff orientation Ensure CPR, background checks, and required training hours are current Address minor performance concerns and escalate appropriately Licensing & Compliance (OK DHS) Maintain child and staff files Track immunizations and required documentation Assist with inspection readiness Ensure compliance with Oklahoma DHS Child Care Licensing standards Enrollment & Parent Experience Conduct tours for prospective families Follow up with inquiries and manage waitlists Support enrollment paperwork Communicate professionally with families Help improve parent retention and satisfaction Qualifications Must meet Oklahoma DHS Assistant Director requirements Minimum 2 years experience in a licensed child care setting Leadership or supervisory experience preferred Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to make decisions confidently and calmly Knowledge of Procare or similar software preferred Who Thrives Here Leaders who take ownership Individuals who are organized and process-driven People who can manage multiple priorities without chaos Professionals who care about quality, safety, and culture Compensation Competitive hourly rate based on experience Leadership growth opportunity Professional development support If you are ready to step into a leadership role and help strengthen a growing center, we encourage you to apply.
