ABOUT THE
ROLEOur Welders play an essential role in ensuring that welds are precise, durable, and meet both customer and industry standards. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIESRead and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to identify specific welding requirements and ensure proper executionSet up and operate welding machines, adjusting amperage, voltage, slope, and pulse settings as specified for the jobInspect welding machines, cables, and all associated equipment to ensure proper functionality and safe operationDetermine the appropriate welding technique, position, and jig needed based on weld specifications and material thicknessGuide the electrode or welding gun along the designated weld line, maintaining proper arc length and speed to achieve the correct depth of fusion and bead, using the metal color, sound, and puddle size to assess qualitySelect and implement the most efficient welding process for moving raw materials or finished products in various situationsExamine completed welds for bead size, cracks, or defects, and recommend or perform necessary repairsClean and grind excess weld, slag, and splatter to ensure smooth finishesClean, grind, or degrease parts to ensure they meet quality standardsSafely operate manlifts and cranes to assist with material handling and positioningPerform other duties as assigned by the supervisor to support the team and production goals
WHAT WERE LOOKING
FORHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredMinimum of 1-2 years of experience as a welder requiredMust successfully pass any applicable welding tests as required by company standardsFamiliarity with and adherence to
AWS D1.1
welding standardsAdheres to all safety protocols and ensures the safety of the team, maintaining a clean and hazard-free workspaceProficient in using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as requiredDemonstrates regular and reliable attendance, with consistent high-quality workmanship and productivityHighly detail-oriented, able to follow work instructions and take direction from others with precisionStrong ability to collaborate with the team, problem-solve, and resolve welding issuesExcellent hand-eye coordination for precise welding workCapable of frequent physical activity, including reaching, lifting, sitting, standing, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and balancingAbility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple tasks efficientlyPerforms other related duties as assigned to support team and company objectives
