Your expertise in precision machining and mechanical troubleshooting will directly impact production uptime and the superior quality of our finished components. Responsibilities Construct, refine, and perform preventative maintenance on high-precision production dies to ensure seamless manufacturing cycles. Analyze and modify existing tooling configurations to boost performance metrics and enhance product consistency. Interpret complex engineering blueprints, CAD schematics, and technical specifications to guide high-tolerance fabrication. Execute precise setups and operations on both manual and CNC machine tools to meet rigorous design requirements. Conduct advanced metrology and inspections to verify that all tooling components adhere to strict tolerance standards. Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering departments to streamline manufacturing workflows and resolve technical bottlenecks. Document all maintenance activities and tooling modifications to maintain a comprehensive history of equipment performance. Qualifications Required Skills Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a tool and die capacity within a manufacturing setting. Deep technical proficiency in die construction, maintenance protocols, and root-cause troubleshooting. Advanced ability to translate complex technical drawings and blueprints into finished tooling. Proven expertise in operating lathes, mills, surface grinders, and related shop machinery. Strong command of precision measuring instruments, hand metrology, and gauge calibration. Preferred Skills Demonstrated aptitude for continuous improvement and lean manufacturing methodologies. Strong mechanical problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing project priorities. Commitment to maintaining a high-standard, safe, and organized shop environment. Experience with CNC machine setup and complex changeover procedures.
