Assistant Foreman•
Job Description Job Summary:
This is a tool bags-on leadership support role for construction sites. The Assistant Foreman is responsible for leading small crews of 1-2 field staff independently, executing work to high standards, and maintaining clear communication with the Foreman and Ownership. This role often operates as a lead on secondary job sites and is expected to uphold quality, safety, and documentation standards in the Foreman's absence or when managing a job solo.
Primary Duties Field Supervision & Execution:
Lead daily operations for small remodel jobs with 1-2 crew members. Supervise field staff, ensuring safe, high-quality, and productive work. Perform hands-on work including but not limited to framing, drywall, trim, windows, siding, and light finish carpentry. Manage jobsite setup, daily production, cleanup, and secure site closure.
Jobsite Communication & Coordination:
Maintain ongoing communication with the Foreman to report progress, issues, and material needs. Follow project scopes and CompanyCam job briefs; document changes as needed. Represent the company professionally with homeowners and subs when Foreman is not present. Collect payments if instructed and turn in receipts and job materials for tracking.
Project Oversight & Documentation:
Complete daily jobsite notes, progress photos, and milestone updates in CompanyCam. Track labor hours and enforce clean, organized, and safe jobsite conditions. Conduct minor walkthroughs, punch list reviews, and assist in finalizing jobs.
Leadership Development & Accountability:
Mentor crew members in best practices, safety, and workmanship. Take corrective action and notify Foreman of any personnel or site-related concerns. Operate as jobsite lead when Foreman is offsite or assigned to other projects. Key Requirements Strong residential remodeling experience across trades. Leadership ability to supervise and motivate a small team independently. Solid communication skills with clients, crew, and office staff. Attention to detail, jobsite cleanliness, and quality control.
Compensation & Benefits Hourly Rate:
$27
