Role Overview:
This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of store operations, driving sales growth, ensuring exceptional customer experience, and maintaining our commitment to high-quality organic and natural products.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the store manager in directing day-to-day operations and providing ongoing support to teams and staff. Excellent understanding of inventory management, merchandising, vendor relations (especially with organic/local suppliers), and loss prevention. Solid financial acumen, including P&L management, budgeting, sales forecasting, and achieving profitability targets. Passion for organic, natural, and sustainable products, with knowledge of industry trends in health-focused retailing, food safety regulations, and customer preferences in the organic sector. Outstanding customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced retail setting. Proficiency with retail POS systems, inventory software, and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace. Flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
Key Requirements and Qualifications:
Minimum 2 plus years of progressive experience in grocery retail, supermarket, or natural/organic foods store management (experience in organic, natural, or specialty food retail is strongly preferred). Proven track record as a Assistant General Manager, Store Manager, or similar senior leadership role in a grocery or high-volume retail environment. Willingness and ability to relocate to Ocean City if not already local. Demonstrated success in opening and operating upscale stores. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a hands-on leadership style.
What We Offer:
