Job Description

The Assistant Feed Mill Manager supports the daily operations of feed production, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and quality throughout the process. This is a hands-on role that involves working across multiple areas of the operation, including production, inventory, equipment maintenance, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in managing all aspects of feed production, including manufacturing, receiving, inventory tracking, and order fulfillment Load customer orders and stock warehouse inventory accurately and efficiently Operate feed mill equipment, including robotic systems and forklift Perform routine mill upkeep and maintain a clean, safe work environment Conduct preventative maintenance and assist with troubleshooting machinery and equipment Maintain accurate production and inventory records Ensure feed quality standards and compliance requirements are met Assist in the drive-thru by loading customer purchases and providing efficient service Work collaboratively with team members to support daily operations
Qualifications & Experience:
Previous experience in a feed mill, grain elevator, agricultural operation, or manufacturing environment preferred Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and maintain equipment Forklift experience preferred (or willingness to learn) Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a physically active environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
