Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Assistant Practice Manager to support the daily operations of our medical clinic and outpatient practice. In this key leadership role, you will work closely with the Practice Manager, Medical Director, nursing leadership, and clinical teams to ensure smooth operations and a supportive environment for both staff and clients. As the Assistant Practice Manager, you will help oversee the day-to-day operations of the Skowhegan Clinic.
Responsibilities include:
Managing office workflow and coordinating daily operations Supervising and supporting Central Registration Specialists Assisting with recruitment, onboarding, training, scheduling, and performance management of support staff Coordinating clinical scheduling to maximize efficiency and client access Collaborating with providers and clinical teams to resolve workflow issues and improve service delivery Monitoring staffing coverage, approving time off requests, and reviewing timesheets Maintaining high standards of customer service and client satisfaction Supporting special projects and operational initiatives Serving as a liaison for facility-related concerns and communications Ensuring compliance with agency policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements Providing backup support for Medical Assistant duties when needed
Qualifications:
Associates Degree in Business Administrator or related field (or equivalent experience). At least 3 years of experience in a medical office and 2 years of supervisory experience in a healthcare or behavioral health setting. Strong leadership and organizational skills with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
