Jul 1, 2026 Job Description Primary Functions The MRU Assistant Principal is responsible for collaborating with the principal in the leadership, oversight, and alignment of systems and structures at MRU to ensure an excellent educational experience for all students. This position is responsible for the direct supervision of staff assigned to Mill River Union. This position is responsible for helping to execute the district's vision and for assuming leadership responsibilities and other duties as required by the superintendent. The ideal candidate for this position is student-centered, collaborative, detail-oriented, and highly collaborative. They are an experienced leader with a strong instructional background and outstanding demonstrated success as a teacher, building, or district leader. Supervision This position reports directly to the Principal and the Superintendent of Schools. Physical Effort and Stress Physical ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined above, in addition to the following: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, speak, and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is regularly required to reach with their hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to drive, and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
