The store's name is inspired by the driven influencers and artists who helped create and disseminate cannabis culture to everyday people through their craft. Position Summary We are seeking a dedicated, hands-on Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring a consistently exceptional customer experience. The Assistant Store Manager will play a key role in team development, compliance, sales performance, and store presentation. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, people-focused, and eager to grow into a leadership role within the cannabis retail industry. This is an onsite position with occasional offsite requirements for meetings, events, or operational support. Key Responsibilities Support the Store Manager in driving sales performance, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Act as a leader on duty when the Store Manager is unavailable, ensuring smooth operations and compliance. Assist with onboarding, training, and coaching staff to ensure high levels of product knowledge, customer service, and compliance awareness. Help oversee inventory management, METRC tracking, product intake, and merchandising. Monitor daily cash handling, manifests, and reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance. Support in enforcing store policies, procedures, and security protocols, including opening/closing responsibilities. Maintain a professional and welcoming environment for customers and employees. Step in to cover shifts and provide operational support as needed. Participate in performance feedback, scheduling, and recognition of staff contributions. Assist with community outreach, in-store events, and promotions in collaboration with leadership. Identify and communicate maintenance, technology, or operational issues to Store Manager and leadership. Qualifications 2+ years of retail supervisory or leadership experience; cannabis industry experience preferred. Strong understanding of Michigan cannabis regulations and compliance practices. Excellent communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills. Ability to lead with professionalism, fairness, and integrity. Proficiency with POS and inventory systems; Microsoft Office experience preferred. Must be 21+ with a valid state ID and eligible to work in the cannabis industry. Ability to lift 35 lbs (up to 100 lbs with assistance) and stand for extended periods. Why Join Us?
