Job description Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Associate Podiatrist, where you will play a vital role in delivering expert foot and ankle care to diverse patient populations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your clinical skills in a collaborative environment focused on comprehensive patient care, innovative treatment approaches, and continuous professional growth. As an integral member of our podiatry department, you will be empowered to make a meaningful difference in patients' mobility and quality of life through expert diagnosis, treatment, and education. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history review, physical examinations, and gait analysis to determine foot and ankle conditions. Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating conservative therapies such as orthotics, wound care, and medication management. Perform minor surgical procedures including toenail removals, biopsies, and wound debridement with precision and adherence to aseptic techniques. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including radiology for medical imaging interpretation and specialists such as endocrinologists or orthopedists for comprehensive care. Provide patient education on foot health, injury prevention, and post-treatment care to promote long-term wellness. Stay current with advancements in podiatric medicine by engaging in clinical research and continuing education opportunities. Qualifications Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from an accredited institution. Valid state licensure or certification to practice podiatry. Demonstrated experience with EHR systems such as Epic or similar platforms. Knowledge of medical imaging techniques relevant to foot and ankle diagnostics. Proficiency in performing minor surgical procedures and wound management. Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics related to podiatric health. Excellent communication skills with a passion for patient service and education.
