Overview Supports all areas of Human Resources administration including: employment/recruiting and associate relations. Provides advice and counsel on all laws affecting the operations in regards to associates. Responsibilities Act as liaison to management for all associates. Manage HRIS to ensure compliance with I9's, background & reference check, etc. Assists with the J1 international workers program. Drive Omni values and culture through the recruitment and retention of quality candidates to support staffing needs. Directs all recruiting and employment activities for executive, management and hourly positions within the time periods established. Collaborate with Department Heads to analyze appropriate staffing levels to support the overall goals of the resort and golf course. Develop and execute recruiting and sourcing strategies to staff current openings as well as proactively creating a talent bench of candidates for future needs. Establish and actively engage in and maintain effective offsite recruiting through relationships with schools, community centers and local workforce agencies. Actively promote current opportunities internally and externally through advertisements, job fairs, social media, direct networking, etc. Provide career counseling for associates seeking advice on potential promotional opportunities and assisting with resume development Responsible for daily office operations and general administration procedures. Follow-up to ensure the successful completion of all new hire paperwork.
To include:
file preparation, verification of I9 work status, W4, all orientation paperwork, Job Description, Skills Certification, "Moments of Service" audits and certification, training certificates, address changes, transfer and promotion documents, reviews and salary adjustments. Develop networking contacts to facilitate information gathering from other hotels in wage analysis. Reflects and adapts to varying situations based on adherence to Omni culture and Standard Operating Procedures. Provide 100% accuracy in completion of the Personnel Information Form (PIF) and have the appropriate approvals for processing. Leadership role with HRD in planning and execution of associate events planned by the Human Resource Department. Act as liaison to management for all associates. Readily work within counseling sessions to promote value of the associate, value of the property and comprise methods of ensuring success within the Omni system. Reasonable requests from management as directed by HRD or GM. Has excellent knowledge of Benefits Administration, Benefit and Employment Law, ERISA Law, FMLA, ADA, Workers Compensation Law.
Qualifications:
Must be flexible with schedule to include some weekends. Must be proficient using Microsoft Office Products. Bilingual speaker preferred. Must have outstanding verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to coach, counsel, advise, mentor, and motivate associates and managers at all levels. Prior hotel Human Resources experience is required - Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role. Preferred SPHR Certification or
AHLA CHRE
Certification. Experience conducting and implementing training and development programs. Large hotel/resort experience preferred. Operations management experience preferred.
