Security Office-FT/PT-Residential Gatehouse- Champions Gate

Job Overview We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Officer to join our team at the residential gatehouse in Champions Gate. This full-time or part-time role is vital in ensuring the safety, security, and smooth operation of our community. As a Security Officer, you will serve as the first line of defense, managing access points, monitoring surveillance systems, and responding promptly to security incidents. Your energetic presence and proactive approach will help foster a safe and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff alike. Responsibilities Control access to the residential community by verifying residents, visitors, contractors, and service providers. Conduct regular patrols of the gatehouse area and surrounding perimeter to identify potential security risks. Monitor CCTV surveillance systems to observe activity and detect suspicious behavior or unauthorized entry. Respond swiftly to security alarms, incidents, or emergencies, coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as needed. Maintain detailed logs of all entries, exits, incidents, and patrols for record-keeping and reporting purposes. Enforce community rules and policies with professionalism while managing conflicts or disputes effectively. Perform first aid or CPR when necessary and be prepared to assist in emergency situations to ensure resident safety. Requirements Proven experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable. Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred Knowledge of surveillance technology such as CCTV systems and loss prevention techniques. Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods while maintaining alertness throughout shifts. Excellent communication skills for interacting with residents, visitors, and emergency responders effectively. Pay:

$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
