Restaurant Host/Hostess (Part Time)

Description Job Overview:

As a Host, you'll be responsible for overseeing the service of members and guests in the dining room. Greets and seats members/guests, maintains order and cleanliness and assures that member/guest satisfaction standards are consistently attained.

Your Responsibilities:

Greets members and guests, seats members. Taking reservations, answering phone. Provide menus. Suggests and describes various appetizers, entrees, desserts, alcoholic beverages and wine to members and guests Handles member/guest complaints and problems and relays to Manager on Duty. Assures all safety, accident and emergency policies and procedures are consistently followed. Inspects dining room to ensure proper maintenance of a clean and orderly area. Coordinate with wait staff about available seating options. Assists with table clearing and resetting as needed. Greet members upon their departure

Skills & Qualifications:

GED or High School Diploma Prior Food and Beverage experience preferred Excellent verbal communication skills required Knowledgeable of proper food handling procedures Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift 30 - 50 lbs. Work in an upright standing or sitting position for long periods of time. Reach with hands and arms. Communicate, receive, and exchange ideas and information by means of the spoken and written word. Supervisory Responsibilities No supervisory responsibilities
