Make a Difference in the Lives of Pets and People - While Enjoying a Competitive Salary and Flexible Hours Job Description Are you a compassionate, community-driven veterinarian looking to make a real impact? The Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation (SASF) is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Veterinarian to join our team—serving both the animals in our care and pet owners across the East End of Long Island. SASF is a leading regional animal welfare organization with a mission to provide for the welfare of homeless animals and promote the bond between people and pets through adoption, education, and community outreach. This role will focus primarily on our Spay/Neuter Mobile Clinic and may include additional hours in our in-house wellness clinic in Hampton Bays. Responsibilities & Duties Work alongside a veterinary technician and assistant to deliver high-quality spay/neuter surgeries and preventative care Perform 20-30 spay/neuter surgeries per day on our mobile unit (including pediatric and pregnant animals), serving both the public and shelter animals Administer core vaccinations, microchipping, heartworm testing , flea and tick prevention, and general wellness care Support community education on the importance of spay/neuter, dental care, and annual wellness exams Provide in-house veterinary services , including: Spay/neuter Dentistry Soft tissue surgeries Maintain detailed medical records and uphold the highest standards of care Experience & Qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), licensed to practice in New York State Minimum of 3 years' experience in a high-volume surgical or shelter medicine environment Proven ability to work efficiently and compassionately in a fast-paced clinical setting Strong communication skills with a passion for community outreach and education Why Join Us?
