Job Description

Responsibilities Work alongside the AV/LV Lead to install interactive flat panel displays, security camera systems, access control, and structured cabling within K-12 schools and commercial environments. Pull, terminate, test, and label low-voltage cabling (Cat6, speaker wire, coax, and fiber). Install and wire security cameras, access control readers, door strikes, and associated cabling. Perform wall-mount installations of interactive flat panels, speakers, raceways, and other peripheral equipment. De-install existing equipment and transport to company vehicle for proper removal or re-use. Load and unload company vehicle with new and old equipment for transport to/from job sites. Distribute equipment to designated classrooms or areas as directed. Document serial numbers, room assignments, and project notes in Excel. Maintain clean and organized workspaces, including removal of installation-related debris. Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally on job sites. Requirements High school diploma or GED required; trade school or technical coursework in electronics, low-voltage systems, or related field preferred. Experience pulling and terminating Cat6 cabling and proficiency with common installation tools. Valid U.S. driver's license and reliable transportation required. Must be able to pass a 7-year background check and drug screening. Ability to safely team-lift displays and equipment weighing up to 150-200 lbs. Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, and in varying site conditions. Strong customer service skills with a professional, positive attitude. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel. General computer literacy and familiarity with basic IT/networking concepts. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills. Must be dependable, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Military background highly desirable. Preferred Skills Hands-on experience with CCTV security and audio/visual system installations. Product knowledge of Promethean, SMART, Samsara, and Axis. Experience installing and configuring security cameras (Axis, Hanwha, Hikvision) and access control systems (HID, Genetec, Brivo). Work Environment & Schedule Position requires 25-50% travel to job sites, primarily within the region. Must report to the office at the start of scheduled shifts and drive a company vehicle to project locations. Work schedule varies depending on project needs; typical shifts may be 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM or 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Flexibility in scheduling is required.
