Job Description

Category Schools - Audiologist Job Type Contract Make a difference supporting students' hearing needs in a dynamic educational setting as a contract audiologist. This full-time opportunity covers the full school year, running from August through late May, with a consistent 37.5 hour weekly schedule. The role is onsite, providing essential audiological services to students in a collaborative, school-based environment. Benefit from a steady, Monday-Friday routine while delivering crucial assessments and interventions that help students thrive. You'll be part of a supportive team, working closely with educators and related services professionals to improve students' access to learning and communication. What we're looking for: Current licensure as an audiologist in South Carolina Audiology experience (schools setting a plus) Strong communication and organizational abilities A passion for supporting students' academic and social development Commitment to professional standards and collaborative practice Key responsibilities: Complete hearing screenings, assessments, and evaluations as needed Recommend and monitor amplification devices; troubleshoot issues for optimal function Interpret audiological results and relay findings effectively to students, families, and staff Collaborate with teachers and special education staff to develop and implement appropriate accommodations Maintain accurate, timely documentation and compliance with all state and federal requirements Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to student planning teams Working in an educational setting provides meaningful variety and the chance to see your impact firsthand every day.
