Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a difference in the lives of students as a School Psychologist in a supportive educational environment near West Columbia, SC. This full-time, onsite contract opportunity spans the academic year and offers an engaging atmosphere where your passion and expertise help foster student well-being and academic success. As a valued member of the school's supportive team, you'll collaborate with educators, families, and administrators to ensure every student has the tools they need to thrive. Your evaluations, interventions, and advocacy will play a vital role in shaping a positive educational experience.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program Valid certification as a School Psychologist (or ability to obtain certification in South Carolina) Previous experience in a school setting preferred Excellent assessment, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to work collaboratively with diverse students, teachers, and families Strong ethical standards and professional integrity
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and participate in eligibility determinations Provide counseling and intervention strategies for students facing academic, behavioral, or social/emotional challenges Consult and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families Contribute to crisis intervention and prevention initiatives Maintain thorough, timely documentation in accordance with regulations
