Auto Body Paint Technician

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Auto Body Paint Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their original condition through expert painting, finishing, and detailing work. Your expertise will help ensure our customers leave with vehicles that look flawless and feel like new. Responsibilities Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, grinding, and cleaning to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply primer, base coats, clear coats, and touch-up paint using airless paint spraying equipment and hand tools. Use buffing machines and polishing compounds to achieve a smooth, high-gloss finish on painted surfaces. Repair minor dents, scratches, and imperfections using welding techniques and auto body repair tools. Install or replace auto glass components as needed during the restoration process. Maintain detailed records of work performed for each vehicle, including auto estimating documentation. Ensure all safety protocols are followed when handling power tools, chemicals, and heavy lifting tasks. Experience Previous dealership experience or background in auto body repair is highly preferred. Hands-on experience with auto painting techniques, including airless paint spraying and buffing. Proficiency with welding, auto restoration, and vehicle maintenance tasks. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with familiarity using hand tools and power tools. Experience in auto glass installation, detailing, and auto estimating processes is a plus. Ability to lift heavy parts safely and perform physically demanding tasks efficiently. Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients about repairs and work progress.
