Pay Range:
$42.30 per hour.
Position Description:
We are seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to support plant engineering and continuous improvement initiatives within a high-volume production environment. This role will focus on applying engineering principles and analytical techniques to establish, improve, and sustain manufacturing processes while driving safety, quality, and productivity across Trim and Chassis Assembly operations. You will be part of a collaborative plant team working hands-on with production, quality, and suppliers to troubleshoot issues, implement corrective actions, and drive Lean manufacturing best practices.
What You'll Do:
Support Manufacturing Process Engineering activities on the plant floor Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity Apply engineering principles to improve manufacturing processes and product outcomes Develop action plans to investigate and resolve quality concerns Verify corrective actions across internal processes and supplier operations Lead and conduct process audits to ensure adherence to standards Perform ergonomic evaluations and implement corrective improvements Analyze vehicle inventory and identify root causes for inefficiencies Develop process documentation and work instructions supporting quality standards Support Trim and Chassis Assembly operations with capable processes and tools Lead Lean manufacturing and variability reduction initiatives Ensure compliance with Plant, Corporate, Governmental, and Environmental standards Support
ISO 14001
compliance and internal auditing activities Identify throughput constraints and drive root cause improvements

N/A Experience Required:
High School Diploma or GED 1+ year of experience in a manufacturing environment (internship/co-op accepted)
Even Better, You May Have:
Bachelor's Degree 2+ years of experience in the automotive industry Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience Experience with 8D and 5 Why problem-solving methodologies Knowledge of Lean tools (5S, Kanban, Poka-yoke, Value Stream Mapping) Familiarity with DMAIC and DFSS methodologies Experience with TQM and Kaizen methods Knowledge of FMEA, PPAP, and DOE Experience with Visual Factory Management Ergonomic analysis experience Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills
