Role:

We are seeking Automation Technicians with 3+ years of experience to join our team supporting operations based out of Malvern, Ohio. This role will primarily be working on frac locations, supporting automation and instrumentation systems in the field. As an Automation Technician, you will play an essential role in ensuring reliable operation of automation equipment by troubleshooting, programming, and maintaining systems critical to safe and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Read and interpret P&IDs, instrumentation drawings, and cause & effect diagrams Troubleshoot and tune PID loops for process control Configure and troubleshoot Modbus communications Perform scheduled ESD, LEL, and H2S testing and calibration Program and troubleshoot: PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Eaton, etc.) RTUs (ROC, FB107, TotalFlow, etc.) HMI systems (Red Lion, Maple, Beijer, etc.) Edge computers and software (Ignition, On-Logic, Moxa, etc.) Serial to Ethernet converters (Moxa, Phoenix, Red Lion, etc.) Diagnose and resolve wiring issues using multimeters Install, maintain, and troubleshoot field instrumentation such as pressure transmitters, flow meters, and temperature sensors

General Skills and Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years of experience with automation systems, troubleshooting, and programming Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and computer systems Ability to read and interpret technical documents (P&IDs, wiring diagrams, etc.) Experience with PLCs, RTUs, HMIs, and field instrumentation Ability to work both independently and within a team Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent I&E certification preferred, but not required Pioneer Production Services Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
