Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and have experience in diagnosing and repairing a variety of automotive issues. This role requires a commitment to providing exceptional customer service while ensuring that all vehicles are maintained to the highest standards. Responsibilities Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, tire service, and brake repair. Diagnose and repair automotive systems, including powertrain, electrical systems, and transmissions. Conduct inspections and alignments to ensure optimal vehicle performance. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various repairs and maintenance tasks. Work with schematics to troubleshoot complex automotive issues. Repair diesel engines and air brake systems as needed. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols. Collaborate with team members on larger repair projects, including auto body repair and welding tasks. Experience Previous experience as an Automotive Mechanic, preferably in a dealership setting. Proficient in automotive diagnostics with a strong understanding of mechanical knowledge related to vehicles. Familiarity with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) is a plus. Experience in working with GM vehicles is preferred but not required. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic reports. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all repairs performed.
