Overview Join our dynamic automotive service team as an Automotive Mechanic, where your expertise will drive excellence in vehicle repair and maintenance. In this energetic role, you will diagnose, repair, and service a wide range of vehicles, ensuring safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs on engines, transmissions, powertrain components, suspensions, shocks & struts, brakes, and steering systems with precision and attention to detail. Service vehicles through oil changes, tire rotations, wheel alignments, wheel balancing, and tire service to maintain optimal performance. Repair or replace auto body components as needed, including welding and other auto body repair techniques. Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently to disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicle parts following manufacturer specifications. Conduct maintenance tasks such as fluid replacements (oil, transmission fluid), brake repairs, and suspension work to ensure vehicle longevity. Read and interpret automotive schematics and technical manuals for complex repairs involving ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), diesel engines, or GM vehicles. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process. Maintain detailed records of all repairs performed for accurate auto estimating and service documentation. Experience Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair across various vehicle makes and models. Dealership experience is highly preferred for familiarity with OEM standards and procedures. Hands-on experience with ADAS calibration, air brake systems, diesel engine repair, powertrain components, transmissions, alignment procedures, suspension systems, shocks & struts, brake systems, and automotive electrical systems. Skilled in using automotive schematics for troubleshooting complex issues efficiently. Knowledge of auto estimating software is a plus for accurate job costing. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by proficiency with hand tools and power tools necessary for various repair tasks.
