Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs on various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, powertrain components, suspension, shocks & struts, brakes, and steering. Execute routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to ensure safety and reliability. Repair or replace critical components like ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), air brakes, auto body parts, and welding as needed. Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently to disassemble and reassemble vehicle parts following manufacturer specifications. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex automotive electrical systems and mechanical problems. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction with the service experience. Experience Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair across various vehicle makes and models. Dealership experience is highly preferred, especially familiarity with GM vehicles or similar brands. Hands-on experience with diesel engine repair, auto estimating, and auto body repair techniques. Knowledge of automotive diagnostics software, schematics reading, and electrical systems troubleshooting. Skilled in maintaining a safe work environment using proper maintenance procedures for tools and equipment. Experience working with powertrain components, transmissions, alignment systems, suspension setups, shocks & struts, brake repair, and tire service.
