Bakery Associate

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bakery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and customer service, ensuring that our bakery products are presented beautifully and served with excellence. This role is essential in maintaining the quality and efficiency of our bakery operations while providing outstanding service to our customers. Duties Assist in the preparation of baked goods, including breads, pastries, and desserts, following established recipes and standards. Operate and maintain bakery equipment safely and efficiently. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and answering questions about products. Utilize Aloha POS or Micros POS systems for processing transactions accurately. Upsell bakery items to enhance customer experience and increase sales. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen and service areas, adhering to food safety regulations. Handle cash transactions responsibly, ensuring accurate cash handling practices. Support team members in various tasks including bussing tables, stocking supplies, and maintaining inventory levels. Collaborate with the bakery team to ensure timely production and delivery of products. Experience Previous experience in food preparation or culinary roles is preferred but not mandatory. ServSafe certification is a plus. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on sales and upselling techniques. Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling techniques is essential. Experience in quick service or fast food restaurants is beneficial. Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math applications are required.
