ASAP ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Bakery Manager to oversee all aspects of our bakery operations in Frankenmuth, MI. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with a deep passion for baked goods, excellent business acumen, and the ability to manage people, inventory, and customer relationships while maintaining outstanding product quality.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee all daily bakery operations including production, staffing, and customer service Hire, train, schedule, and evaluate bakery staff to maintain a high-performing team Develop and implement bakery production schedules to meet customer demand Manage inventory, vendor relationships, ordering, and cost control Ensure all products meet quality, freshness, and presentation standards Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and special orders professionally Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to drive revenue growth Maintain full compliance with local health codes, food safety regulations, and sanitation standards Prepare reports on production, sales, and staffing for ownership/upper management Lead by example on the bakery floor during peak times
REQUIREMENTS
8+ years of bakery or food service management experience Proven ability to lead and develop a team in a fast-paced environment Strong financial acumen including budgeting, P&L, and cost management Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills ServSafe Manager Certification or willingness to obtain Flexible availability including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience managing a retail bakery or specialty food establishment Familiarity with POS systems and inventory management software Culinary or hospitality management background
