ASAP ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Cake Decorator to join our bakery team in the heart of Frankenmuth, Michigan. The ideal candidate has a passion for baked goods and a strong eye for design, capable of decorating everything from elegant wedding cakes to everyday brownies and specialty pastries. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Design, decorate, and finish a wide variety of baked goods including wedding cakes, birthday cakes, cupcakes, brownies, and specialty desserts Apply frosting, fondant, piping, edible decorations, and other finishing techniques with precision Consult with customers to understand their cake design requests and bring their vision to life Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary decorating station at all times Assist in preparing buttercream, ganache, fondant, and other icings and fillings Manage cake orders, timelines, and deadlines to ensure on-time delivery Work collaboratively with the baking team to meet daily production needs Ensure all products meet quality standards before display or delivery

REQUIREMENTS

5+ year of professional cake decorating or pastry experience preferred Proficiency in piping, fondant work, and decorating techniques Strong attention to detail and creative artistic ability Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple orders Food handling certification or willingness to obtain one Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with wedding cake design and tiered cakes Portfolio of previous cake decorating work (photos welcome) Knowledge of current cake decorating trends

Pay:

$19.00 - $23.00 per hour
