Bakery Merchandiser

Bakery Merchandiser Job Description We are partners in caring for our neighbors' families, homes, and communities. The Bakery Merchandiser is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the bakery departments, ensuring excellent product quality, strong customer service, food safety compliance, and an efficient, well-trained team. This role supports sales growth, controls shrink and labor, and maintains department standards for merchandising, freshness, and cleanliness. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily bakery operations, including production, packaging, merchandising, sanitation, and customer service.
• Lead, train, and coach bakery associates to maintain productivity, service standards, and a positive team environment. Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary or bakery training preferred.
• 2+ years of bakery, food service, or supermarket perishable experience required.
• Previous merchandiser, lead, or trainer experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of bakery production, merchandising, product rotation, and freshness standards.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions This role requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting. The Bakery Merchandiser must be able to work around ovens, mixers, refrigerated cases, and other bakery equipment, and may be required to lift and move boxes, trays, and ingredients up to 50 pounds. The work environment includes exposure to flour, heat, cold storage, and moderate noise levels.

Pay:

$12,000.00 - $12,500.00 per week
