Registered Dental Assistant

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in dental assisting, with expertise in chairside support, patient care, and clinical procedures. As a Registered Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality dental services, ensuring patient comfort and safety, and supporting the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric treatments. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available for patient appointments. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper technique and adherence to safety protocols. Manage patient records using software such as Dentrix, Dexis, and Itero while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide patient education on post-treatment care instructions. Maintain infection control standards through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures. Assist with four-handed dentistry to improve workflow efficiency during clinical procedures. Skills Proficiency in dental assisting techniques combined with thorough knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy. Experience operating in Dentrix is a plus. Strong understanding of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques within a dental clinic environment. Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while adhering to radiation safety standards. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and working effectively with pediatric patients. Familiarity with 3D scanners and other advanced medical imaging tools used in general dentistry and prosthodontics. Excellent communication skills for interacting professionally with patients, staff, and healthcare providers. Ability to adapt quickly to various clinical situations while maintaining high standards of patient care.
