Job Description
Job Summary Greet guests in a prompt, friendly and courteous manner, while always providing excellent customer service. Prepare drink orders for guests according to specified recipes using measuring systems. Responsible for set-up and breakdown of special event bars. Abide by all state, federal and company regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages. Responsibilities Greet and serve guests in a prompt, friendly and courteous manner. Prepare drink orders for guests according to specified recipes using measuring systems. Set up and maintain cleanliness of bar, service areas, utensils, and bar equipment. Transport supplies to bar set up area, which includes requisitioning and stocking of beer, wine, spirits, soft drinks, ice, paper products, straws, stirrers, garnishes etc. Responsible for cutting and storing all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables. Breakdown banquet bar, lock up and store all beverages, perishables, equipment, and supplies to proper area at end of event and complete closing duties. Maintain and count cash bank at the beginning of each shift, process all payments and count bank at end of shift. Complete cashier reports, deposit cash drops and secures bank. Abide by all state, federal and company liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages. Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and nametag. Support and assist team members in all aspects of service to ensure the best customer experience. Adheres to all company and safety and security policies and procedures, report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management. Any other tasks/duties requested or assigned by Management. Skills Excellent inter-personal/oral communication and customer service skills. Basic math skills, standard cash handling procedures and give correct change. Ability to multitask. Must have a pleasant and outgoing personality, cheerful disposition and be always courteous. Ability to use computer and or cash register proficiently. Basic knowledge of beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages. Be familiar with standard drink recipes with the ability to mix and make a variety of drinks correctly. Must be able to handle customer requests in a prompt, courteous and efficient manner. Requires ability to walk and stand for entire shift. Move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds, Ability to reach overhead and below knees, including bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, or crouching. Must be willing to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays. Qualifications Must be 21 years or older. High school diploma or its equivalent. At least 1 year bartender experience required.
