The Banquet Server I plays a vital role in delivering exceptional experiences during events and functions held at the resort. This position is responsible for providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service to guests, ensuring that all food and beverage needs are met promptly and professionally. The Banquet Server I collaborates closely with the banquet team to set up event spaces according to specifications and maintains cleanliness and organization throughout the event. We don't simply serve meals, we create experiences. Success in this role contributes directly to guest satisfaction and the overall reputation of the venue. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to develop hospitality skills in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with lots of time outdoors.Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts. Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices. Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to work outdoors for prolonged periodsPreferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in banquet or food service roles. Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems and order taking. Certification in food handling or safety (e.g., ServSafe). Ability to lift and carry trays, tables, or equipment weighing up to 25 pounds. Multilingual skills to assist diverse guest populations.Responsibilities:
Set up banquet rooms by arranging tables, chairs, linens, and service items according to event specifications. Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and courteous manner, adhering to established service standards. Respond promptly to guest requests and communicate effectively with kitchen and management staff to ensure smooth service. Read, understand, and anticipate the details of the Banquet Event Order for each event, always looking for the next action item. Assist with the breakdown and cleanup of banquet areas following events, ensuring all equipment and supplies are properly stored.Skills:
The Banquet Server I utilizes strong interpersonal and communication skills daily to interact effectively with guests and team members, ensuring a positive event experience. Attention to detail and organizational skills are essential for setting up banquet spaces accurately and maintaining service flow. Physical stamina and coordination are required to carry trays, serve food and beverages, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Problem-solving skills help address guest requests and resolve minor issues promptly.
