We are looking for an exceptional and creative individual that is motivated to create memorable experiences through incredible food and hospitality. The Bar Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the bar operation. This role ensures exceptional guest service, maintains high beverage quality standards, manages staff performance, controls inventory and costs, and develops innovative beverage offerings that enhance the overall dining experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manage daily bar operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service Lead, train, coach, and supervise bartenders and support all FOH staff during service Maintain and update cocktail menus, sake and wine selections, and specialty beverage programs Work with the bar team to curate Nobu style cocktails for the menu and contests Maintain high standards for beverage preparation, presentation, and consistency Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and manage vendor relationships Control beverage costs, waste, and labor expenses to meet financial goals Ensure compliance with all local alcohol laws, sanitation, and safety regulations Handle guest concerns professionally and maintain excellent customer satisfaction Attend all required bar and manager meetings Assist in hiring, coaching, disciplining, counseling, and conducting performance reviews Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper maintenance of the bar area Analyze sales reports and implement strategies to increase revenue and profitability Responsible for the daily operations of the restaurant, including staff scheduling, delegating tasks, supervising service and while maintaining a strong floor presence Support floor service and maintain Nobu's high level of hospitality and service to all guests that dine with us Ensure cash handling and management of POS systems are working properly Uphold all policies and procedures with consistency for all FOH staff Support all recruitment efforts for FOH staff as needed Interact with guests to develop loyalty, and exercise great guest relations Set and maintain standards for safe food handling, cleanliness and safety compliant with DOH Knowledge of local and state regulations related to alcohol service and health code compliance. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of bar management experience in a fine dining, upscale, or luxury hospitality setting Strong knowledge of wines, spirits, cocktails, and mixology techniques Proven leadership and team management abilities Excellent communication and customer service skills Experience with inventory management, budgeting, and POS systems Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure Strong leadership skills and lead by example upholding Nobu culture, behaviors and standards Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays Preferred Qualifications Sommelier certification or advanced wine education Experience developing craft cocktail programs Knowledge of beverage cost analysis and menu engineering Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment Ability to walk up and down stairs, kneel and squat
