Barista Shift Leader

Duties Lead by example during shifts, motivating team members to deliver outstanding customer service and efficient food and beverage preparation Oversee daily café operations, including managing POS systems such as Toast POS for accurate sales processing and cash handling Ensure adherence to food safety protocols, proper food handling, and cleanliness standards in food preparation areas Manage time effectively to prioritize tasks, coordinate staff schedules, and ensure smooth service flow during busy periods Assist with training new team members on coffee brewing techniques, POS procedures, and customer service best practices Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and create a welcoming environment for all guests Maintain accurate records of sales transactions, shift reports, and inventory levels to support operational efficiency Qualifications Proven experience as a barista with a strong understanding of coffee preparation and serving techniques Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a café or food service setting preferred Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast POS is highly desirable Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional demeanor Knowledge of food safety standards, food handling procedures, and basic math for cash handling and retail math calculations Ability to lead a team confidently while maintaining attention to detail in food preparation and sales transactions Embark on an exciting journey where your energy fuels our success!
