We are offering a great opportunity for a full timeBed Placement Technician-PRNfor our Community and Crisis Department. Responsibilities Find bed placement for consumers deemed in need of behavioral health care treatment in order to stabilize their current crisis situation. Supports the Emergency Services team with obtaining authorizations for service, determining eligibility for Alternative Transportation criteria, and manning the crisis line when needed. Required Education and Experience Bachelors degree in human services field or related field. One (1) year position related experience working with SMI population in crisis intervention with emergency and/or hospital settings across the crisis continuum. Registered as a Qualified Mental Health Professional QMHP or QMHP-T through the Virginia Board of Counseling. Valid Drivers License with a point balance of -6 or higher. Preferred Education and Experience Three (3) years position related experience working with SMI population in crisis intervention with emergency and/or hospital settings across the crisis continuum. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge in human personality, growth and development; long term mentally ill, knowledge of needs of SMI populations; Strong oral and interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communication regarding interagency services and intra-agency coordination. Knowledge of emergency/crisis intervention. Competency in coordinating services for forensic clients both within the agency and outside of the agency coordinating services. Knowledge of resources, knowledge of civil commitment law. Ability to exercise sound judgment; maintain a high degree of confidentiality. Ability to work as an effective team member with all types/levels of staff Ability to demonstrate initiative. Excellent customer service. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and excellent documentation skills. May be required to travel within the Greater Reach CSB catchment area. Fingerprints, State and FBI criminal record reports, drug test, and central registry report will be required upon selection.
