Join the YMCA School Age Child Care team and help create a safe, fun, and supportive environment where kids can learn, grow, and thrive before and after school. What You'll Do Under the direction of the School Age Child Care Site Lead or Director, you will help lead engaging daily activities for children ages 5-12, including: Arts & crafts Games and sports Team-building activities Homework and quiet time Character development activities Learning centers and group activities You will also help maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming environment that reflects YMCA values and NYS childcare regulations. Responsibilities Include Assisting with planning and leading age-appropriate activities Creating a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all children Greeting children and families in a friendly and professional manner Helping maintain a clean and organized program space Supporting YMCA family events and activities Supervising children during program hours and transitions Ensuring all safety and childcare guidelines are followed Communicating professionally with staff, parents, and school personnel Completing incident reports when needed Participating in staff meetings and required trainings Assisting during snow days, school breaks, and half days when needed What We're Looking For ✔Must be 18 Year Old ✔ High School Diploma or equivalent preferred ✔ Experience working with children preferred ✔ Strong communication and teamwork skills ✔ Positive attitude and dependable attendance ✔ Ability to create a fun, supportive, and safe environment for children Required Trainings & Clearances NYS Fingerprint Clearance Online trainings Physical and TB test CPR certification recommended Why Work at the YMCA?
