Job Description
Behavior Interventionist Greater Los Angeles Area As a Behavior Interventionist with IABA, you will provide individualized, evidence-based support to children and adolescents with developmental disabilities, including Autism. This role offers hands-on clinical experience, structured training, and ongoing mentorship while working directly with clients and families in home, school, and community settings. Using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), you will implement treatment plans designed to build meaningful skills and support positive behavior change. IABA follows positive-only, ethical, and person-centered practices to strengthen play, self-care, cognitive, social, and communication skills. Position Details Wage Range:
$20-$28 per hourLocation:
Greater Los Angeles Area (Open cases in Downtown LA, Hollywood, Santa Monica, Culver City, Inglewood, South LA, Huntington Park, and surrounding areas) Schedule Options Full-Time (30+ hours per week, 130+ hours a month):Recommended:
Monday-Friday, 8:00am-6:30pm + ½ weekend dayMinimum:
Monday-Friday, 8:00am-3:00pmPart-Time Options:
Monday / Wednesday /Friday:
8:00am-3:00pm or Tuesday /Thursday:
8:00am-3:00pm Responsibilities Provide one-on-one ABA therapy sessions in home and school settings Support academic tasks and daily living activities Teach adaptive play, self-care, cognitive, social, and communication skills Promote positive behavior through reinforcement strategies Collect and analyze data to track progress and outcomes Maintain a safe, structured, and engaging environment Advocate for individuals with disabilities across settings Uphold ethical, professional, and clinical standards Requirements U.S. work authorization Ability to pass a criminal background check Negative TB test results Reliable computer and daily internet access Reliable transportation, valid CA driver's license, and proof of auto insurance Willingness to travel throughout the LA area Interest in working with children and adolescents Patience, empathy, and a professional yet engaging demeanor Strong reliability and consistent attendance Ability to lift up to 45 lbs and engage in active play (running, bending, squatting, kneeling, floor play) Willingness to support clients ages 2-23 across a wide range of needs, including hygiene, feeding, and mobility Benefits Health, dental, and life insurance Employee Assistance Program (EAP) 401(k) retirement plan Paid time off (vacation and sick time) Paid training and ongoing professional development Paid drive time and mileage reimbursement Cell phone reimbursement Employee referral bonuses Advancement and recognition opportunities Eligibility to earn BCBA supervision hours and certifications Ongoing support from experienced IABA supervisorsJob Types:
