Job Description

Job Summary Join our small, BCBA-owned practice as a Behavior Therapist and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and individuals with developmental challenges. In this role, you will implement evidence-based behavioral interventions, primarily using applied behavior analysis (ABA), to promote positive behaviors and improve daily functioning. You will work closely with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized care plans that foster growth, independence, and confidence. Our practice prioritizes the self-care and support of employees and clients alike. We understand the challenges that are common in the field and we aim to prevent burnout. We appreciate behavior technicians as a crucial part of the team- you are just as important as a BCBA! Duties Deliver individualized behavioral therapy sessions utilizing ABA techniques tailored to each client's unique needs. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, feeding, and hygiene, to enhance independence. Collect and analyze data during sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments. Develop, implement, and update personalized care plans in collaboration with supervisors and families. Support clients with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) through structured teaching strategies and behavior management techniques. Maintain accurate medical documentation, records, and reports in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate families and caregivers on behavior management strategies to ensure consistency across environments. Requirements Prior experience or training in behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), or special education is highly preferred. Passion for working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities; patience and empathy are essential. Ability to assist with ADLs and implement behavior management strategies effectively. Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance. Excellent data collection skills to track client progress accurately. Effective teaching skills combined with a caring approach to patient care and behavioral health support. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality. Join us in creating impactful change through compassionate care, innovative strategies, and dedicated teamwork!
