Behavioral Health-Admissions Representative Vital Health - 3.3 Maumee, OH Job Details Full-time 6 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication High school diploma or GED Full Job Description We are seeking a compassionate and organized Admissions Coordinator / Admissions Representative to serve as the first point of contact for individuals seeking behavioral health and healthcare services. This position is ideal for someone with strong customer service and communication skills who enjoys helping patients and families during important and often stressful moments in their lives. The Admissions Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the intake and admissions process by answering incoming calls, coordinating assessments, verifying insurance coverage, scheduling appointments, maintaining accurate patient records, and communicating with patients, families, referral sources, and clinical staff. This individual helps ensure a smooth and supportive experience from initial inquiry through admission and ongoing coordination. This role works closely with providers and internal teams to review patient information, determine appropriate services, and support timely admissions decisions. The Admissions Coordinator will also assist with collecting required documentation, tracking medical records, maintaining CRM/EHR information, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies. Candidates with experience in healthcare administration, medical reception, patient access, intake coordination, scheduling, behavioral health admissions, customer service, call center environments, or medical office support are encouraged to apply. Experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, or community healthcare settings is a plus. Schedule Monday through Friday | 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Some evening availability is required on an as needed basis to assist with intake coordination and communication regarding new admissions. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Previous experience in healthcare administration, admissions, scheduling, patient services, customer service, or call center environments preferred Strong communication and multitasking skills Comfortable handling sensitive conversations with professionalism and empathy Experience with EHR, CRM, medical scheduling, or healthcare documentation systems preferred Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with healthcare privacy standards Vital Health offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working within a supportive and growing healthcare organization.
