Job Summary The Senior Shipping Supervisor will lead daily shipping operations, supervise team performance, and coordinate company drivers to ensure accurate, efficient, and on-time deliveries. Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Hires, trains, and assigns shift employees and truck drivers
  • Oversees and coordinates daily shipping operations, including workflow, scheduling, and staff assignments, in partnership with the Scheduling & Logistics Manager
  • Conducts timely and constructive performance evaluations
  • Collaborates with the Scheduling & Logistics Manager to handle employee discipline and terminations in accordance with company policy. Duties/Responsibilities
  • Oversees all shipping and loading activities to ensure safe and efficient movement of products
  • Conducts daily inspections to ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and company policies
  • Monitors freight movement using various software systems
  • Coordinates with the production planning team to schedule next-day deliveries
  • Ensures product handling and delivery meet customer expectations and business objectives
  • Performs other related duties as assigned Required Skills/Abilities
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Effective time management with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Basic understanding of freight rates and logistics operations
  • Experience with NetSuite or other ERP systems is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office or related systems for tracking and reporting
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of standing and up to four hours per shift sitting and working on a computer
