Great Place to Work. Job Description The Autism Therapy Group (ATG) is seeking a Billing Manager to oversee and manage all billing operations within the company. In this role, they will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely billing of services, managing the billing team, and overseeing the accounts receivable process. They will collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to resolve billing discrepancies, track insurance claims, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and prior experience in ABA billing or revenue cycle management. Responsibilities General Drives accountability through strong leadership and effective people management. Oversees the internal controls for ensuring timely and accurate benefits verifications, insurance authorizations, billing and collections. Ensures all billing procedures comply with insurance guidelines and company policies. Acts as a liaison to all internal clinical and administrative departments to ensure collective results. Insurance and Authorization Ownership Manage the insurance verification and authorization process, ensuring all necessary approvals are obtained prior to services rendered. Monitor and track insurance authorizations, ensuring renewals and updates are handled promptly to avoid disruptions in service. Serve as the point of contact for insurance-related questions and issues, maintaining positive relationships with insurance companies and clients. Billing Oversees the accurate and timely billing of services to both insurance providers and clients. Works with insurance companies and clients to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure prompt payment. Claims Posting and Accounts Receivable (A/R) Process Oversees the posting of Electronic Remittance Advices (ERA) to ensure accurate and efficient processing of payments. Identify any payment issues from ERAs and work with insurance companies to resolve discrepancies and root causes. Manage the accounts receivable process, ensuring timely follow-up on outstanding invoices. Monitor A/R aging reports, identify overdue accounts, and implement strategies to improve cash flow. Coordinate with the finance team to reconcile discrepancies and ensure accurate records. Qualifications High school diploma required, Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred Previous experience in ABA billing a plus Overall friendly and inviting demeanor Excellent written and verbal communication Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications Strong Microsoft Excel Skills preferred Exceptional time management, organizational and prioritization skills Shows flexibility by helping with various tasks as requiredBenefits:
