Position Overview:
MedEx is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Billing Specialist to support our Billing team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of all billing-related activities, including patient billing, report verification, and record maintenance. Your expertise will play a critical role in optimizing our billing processes and supporting our mission to provide exceptional service to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately process and manage patient billing information for medical transport services. Review and verify billing reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards. Maintain meticulous records of billing transactions, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality. Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies and address patient inquiries. Stay current with industry regulations and best practices related to medical billing procedures. Contribute to the continuous improvement of billing processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Billing Specialist or in a similar role, preferably within the healthcare industry. Strong understanding of medical billing procedures, systems, and regulations. Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage large volumes of data with accuracy. Proficient in using billing software and other relevant technology. Exceptional organizational and time management skills. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED). Possess a valid State Driver's License. Must be physically able to meet the demands of the position. Must be able to pass a drug test.
